Guidelines for Submission
This is basicly tells you what each of the ratings for the episodes means, general rules for submission of episodes as well as the form to submit your episodes.
Episode Raitings
All Children
This episode should be appropriate for all readers. The themes and elements should be specifically designed for a very young audience, including readers from ages 2 - 6. This episode should not expected to frighten younger readers.
Directed to Older Children
This episode should be designed for readers age 7 and above. It may be more appropriate for readers who have acquired the developmental skills needed to distinguish between make-believe and reality. Themes and elements may include mild fantasy violence or comedic violence, or may frighten readers under the age of 7. Therefore, users may wish to consider the suitability of this program for their very young readers.
Directed to Older Children - Fantasy Violence
For those episodes where fantasy violence may be more intense or more combative than other episodes in this category, such episodes will be designated TV-Y7-FV.
General Audience
Most readers would find this program suitable for all ages. Although this rating does not signify an episode designed specifically for readers, most users may let younger readers read this episode unattended. It contains little or no violence, no strong language and little or no sexual dialogue or situations.
Parental Guidance Suggested
This episode contains material that readers may find unsuitable for younger children. Many readers may want to read it to younger readers. The theme itself may call for parental guidance and/or the episode contains one or more of the following: moderate violence (V), some sexual situations (S), infrequent coarse language (L), or some suggestive dialogue (D).
Parents Strongly Cautioned
This episode contains some material that many readers would find unsuitable for readers under 14 years of age. Readers are strongly urged to exercise greater care in monitoring this program and are cautioned against letting readers under the age of 14 read unattended. This program contains one or more of the following: intense violence (V), intense sexual situations (S), strong coarse language (L), or intensely suggestive dialogue (D).
Mature Audience Only
This episode is specifically designed to be read by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for readers under 17. This episode contains one or more of the following: graphic violence (V), explicit sexual activity (S), or crude indecent language (L).
General Guidelines
All entries must be a minimum of 10 paragraphs. Maximum of 20 paragraphs.
Entries longer than 20 paragraphs must be submitted as two part episode with a clear break between part one and part two.
All entries must contain a rating or they will not be posted, if you are unsure of what to rate an episode contact the staff who will help you.
All entries must conform to the Young Xena universe.
